Marriage is honorable

Mrs. Lovett Obiakalusi
Marriage is an institution God Himself ordained and blessed. He said, that marriage is good and a thing of favor, because he that finds a wife, finds a good thing and obtains favor from God. Marriage is honorable, still honorable and a thing to be enjoyed and desired. It is meant to be a celebration, still a celebration and must remain a celebration.
We need to put in little effort called commitment and hard work (love, respect, submission, etc.) and we are good to go.
Do you know what?
This commitment and hard work has become a very big deal and has led to the enduring and mourning of many marriages.
Divorce, separation, single parenting and more, are now trending and preferred to God's ordained values. It is pertinent however, to note that in this same era, there are still couples, who uphold these God ordained values, and are enjoying a blissful married life.
This is not to deny or pretend that there are no genuinely challenged marriages or families, the mandate is just to stand on what the Designers manual prescribes.
Valiant women Awards, a divine call, designed to recognize, commend and celebrate these exceptional Christian women in marriages who are upholding this critical Godly values, held its maiden event recently. This epoch event took place on the 13/11/2016 at the prestigious Sheraton hotel, Ikeja, Lagos. The event drew noble men and women from far and near.
VWAwards discovered Mr. and Mrs. Teekee Debekeme, a Nigerian couple from Bayelsa (Teekee) and Anambra (Faith), this two have been in Marriage for over 58 years. This couple having only a child, who is a female, not only remained in marriage but kept the spark of romance. The marriage has proven to the whole world that it is still possible to live God's own marriage design in a world that shows out right rebellion to God and His laws. Mr. Teekee, 89years and Mrs. Faith, 86 years old, together are having an awesome time with God in their marriage. Mrs. Faith Nebechukwu Debekeme won the Golden woman Award.
The valiant woman 2016 went to Apostle (Mrs.) Busola Jegede a home builder, entrepreneur, writer, preacher, mother and a "helpmeet". Her secret is the fear of the Lord, submission and respect.
She has built for herself a marriage of color and glamour.
Mrs. Ozoadibe hails from Oji-River in Enugu state.
The heroin Award for courage and sacrifice went to Dr. (Mrs.) Stella Ameyo Adadevoh for her bravery in rescuing our dear country even when she was certain the price could be death.
We salute her courage.
